کہاوتیں ، محاورے اور ضرب الامثال ہر زبان میں کلیدی حیثیت رکھتے ہیں اور اہل زبان  اپنا مافی الضمیر ادا کرنے کے لیے ان کہاوتوں اور ضرب الامثال کا سہارا لیتے ہیں ۔ جو مفہوم طویل عبارتوں میں ادا کرنا مشکل ہوتا ہے وہ ایک کہاوت یا محاورے سے مختصر ترین الفاظ میں ادا ہو جاتا ہے ۔

یہ کتاب طویل تحقیق اور مطالعے کے بعد مرتب کی گئی ہے۔ کوشش کی گی ہے کہ اُردو کی تمام نہیں تو بیشتر کہاوتیں اور ضرب الامثال اس میں شامل کر لی جائیں۔ اس کے علاوہ اہل اُردو کے ہاں استعمال ہونے والی فارسی ضرب الامثال کو بھی جگہ دی گئی ہے ۔ کتاب ہماری کہاوتیں اساتذہ اور طلبہ و طالبات کی علمی استٰعداد بڑھانے میں گراں قدر کردار ادا کرے گی۔

Proverbs, idioms and proverbs are key in every language and people of native languages resort to these proverbs. A concept that is difficult to convey in long sentences is conveyed in the shortest words from a saying or idiom. This book has been compiled after long research and study. Efforts will be made to include not all but mostly used proverbs. In addition, the Persian proverbs used by the Urdu people have also been given space. The book “Hamari Kahawatein” will play an important role in enhancing the academic potential of teachers and students.​
